PRAYER TOOLS – PART 8 EXERCISES TO FOCUS IN PRAYER


LETTING GO/BEING FILLED

Hold your hands in fists facing down. Think of all of the things that you need to release and let go of. Confess sins, give God worries and Anxieties, hurts, or unforgiveness.

Ask the Lord if there are any other specific things, He wants you to release and let them go.

Then hold your hands up and ask to receive all of the gifts the Lord has for you to receive. Receive forgiveness, peace, the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Give thanks and praise with your hands held out. Ask the Lord if there are any gifts that He wants to give you.

Listen, to sense something that your heart tells you to ask for.

USING YOUR FIVE FINGERS AS A JOURNEY OF PRAYER

If you are waiting in a line or have spare time to pray. Hold out your fingers and let them be a reminder of 5 priority areas that are good to pray about.

Thumb-Pray for those that are close to you. Those you want to wrap God’s love around.

Pointer Finger- Pray for those who direct, instruct, and teach you and have a place of authority in your life.

Tall Finger-Pray for leaders of all kinds.

Ring Finger-Pray for spouse and/or other family members.

Pinkie Finger-Pray for all who are weak, vulnerable, and need special care.
